Foster Program

DSCF1150_edited.jpg

Milo’s Mission Rescue is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment
for all the dogs and cats in our care. All of our cats and dogs are looked after by our
wonderful team of fosterers in their own homes, where they are treated like one of
the family. Fostering in the home is one of our key elements in preparing cats and
dogs for their new forever adoptive homes.

As the volume of cats and dogs coming into our care continues to grow, we are
looking for NEW FOSTERERS who are willing to open their home on an ad hoc basis,
so if you are interested in joining the Fosterers Team, please apply below!

Basic foster duties include:

  • Taking the dog/cat to our local vet Blacklion Pet Hospital Greystones. Vet visits are for vaccinations, spay/neutering and microchipping and all costs are covered by Milo’s Mission during the fostering process.

  • Provide pictures of the dog/cat for our adoption section of our social media pages and website.

  • Provide regular updates on the dog/cat’s progress.

  • During the fostering process we insist that the dog/cat stays in the care of the designated foster under the direction of Milo’s Mission Rescue.

Also:

  • During the adoption process, we will very much value the opinion of the foster and will encourage their input where appropriate.

  • If you are fostering with a view to adopt please be aware that there will be a fee charged at adoption.

  • Please note a home check for all potential fosters will be completed to ensure your home is a safe environment for the dog/cat, most specifically a fully secured garden.
